Feel Good Friday Moment....

Have a lovely weekend,
Farming Fabulously

Program Note: Last weekend was my sister in-laws Baby Shower, I will be posting the pictures this weekend. Maybe even a sneak peak this afternoon?

Time For A Check Up.....

It was time yet again for a visit to our local pediatricians office. We were evaluating Baby D to see how he is measuring up with all of the other infants his age.

This was for his 6 month check up. Baby D's statistic's are as follows:

Height: 28 3/4
+
Weight: 23.6
+
Melon: 18 3/4
+
Temperature: 97.3

All of those numbers are equivalent on the growth chart to 97 percentile in weight and 98 percentile in height. So basically "Our infant is as tall as he is round!" We are so proud, I think I will make bumper sticker.

Vernon Vineyards

While in Wisconsin, we had the esteemed privilege of visiting a local winery (Officially not open until May 1). You see, my baby brother is a wine connoisseur. His persnickety taste buds loured him to this location, The Vernon Vineyards. He is friends with owner/wine maker of this region.

So when we were offered to come and have a personally tasting, we jumped at the opportunity. Nestled in the rolling hills of Vernon County, this Vineyard was breathtaking.

Once an old pole barn, now a luxurious get-a-way to all wine fanatic's. A transformation holding years of history in the making.

Pictured below is a family photo of my Baby Brothers and I. Now if you are ever wondering around central Wisconsin and have some time to spare. I would highly recommend detouring to this fabulous location.

The Curious Case Of The Klements Sausages...

While in Wisconsin, we were introduced to these mysterious guys. Baby D took a liking almost immediately.

For those of you who are pondering about their identities, let me clarify. They are giant sausages! Most of the time you would see these sausages racing around the tract at MLB games. Alas, my father had these costumes hidden away at the store and thought that it would be amusing to see the kids reaction to these giant creatures.

Little Khloe thought that these costumes were absolutely absurd and wanted no part of their mischievous doings (I would say her mama is teaching her right). That is until the masks were reviled.

It was quite a spectacle; Who know that over-sized sausages could have such an impact on ones evening.

Baby D however, was having fun just mingling with his Great-Grandpa.

Holy Wi-Fi Withdrawals

For the last week I have been secluded from my normal Internet savoy lifestyle.

Eventually plummeting into an isolated world surrounded by no technology related circumstances.

Concluding that I have developed a serve dependency of this Wi-Fi world that I have become so accustom too.

Alas, I was having withdrawals: Like an alcoholic without his booze, or a smoker without his cigarettes, or a "Biggest Loser" without her Twinkies, or even a "Sex Addict" that has lost his game. Needless to say this was a very serious matter.

Yes, my peeps I quit surfing the web cold turkey for a whole week.

But it was worth every minute of it to spend some quality time with our Northern kinfolk.

By now you are probably pondering about what exactly you have been looking at in these pictures?

Well last year, Grocery Store/European Village/Restaurant and Pub had forgone some extreme renovations. Here are some photos of the "Face Lift" that the Grocery Store has undergone.

Well It's That Time Again....

This farm chick and her little munchkin are once again going to embark on a journey to the Northland. Where we will be frolicking with the cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles and even an albino owl named Earl. That's right my peeps, we have a power packed week ahead of us. One of the most exciting aspects is that we get to see my baby brother and his girlfriends new humble abode! They purchased their new house only a few months ago and have been on a renovating mission ever since. We are ecstatic to get a sneak peek into their new adventure.

So our road cruiser is packed with numerous essentials and we will be heading out at sunrise tomorrow morning. So as I am sure you can guess, I will be MIA in Blogland for the next week. But I will return with countless pictures of our expedition, along with multiple stories, and even a critique of a new wine that has not even hit the selves yet. Oh Happy Day.

Lets Play....

Baby D loves to play with his daddy! However, he belts out a blood curdling scream when he is having a good time. We decided it was time to document his behavior, in order to one day look back and be able to fully comprehend the extent of his cackle.

*Warning: Be sure that your volume is adjusted accordingly*

Baby D's Reaction To April Fools...

It was a radiant sunny morning on this "The Day Of The Fool". Baby D was leisurely chomping away on a orange slice, when a conversion came up about the origin of April 1st. We began discussing the existence of this centuries old "Day of Pranks", and all of the misconceptions that revolve around the affiliations it has with a little man wearing tight spandex and a bright hat. You can tell by his reaction that he was stunned by what he had heard.

Happy April Fools Day Everyone! Now go find in innocent, gullible sole and prank them...

Sophie Giraffe Teether Toy

I debated posting this toy because I realize it has been an Internet phenomenon for sometime. But it is a favorite of Baby D's, it is small enough for him to grab onto and he can easily bite down on it. He enjoys the squeaking sounds that it makes and is fascinated by its flexibility.

Teething Tablets

With two teeth already in existence and more to come, these Teething Tablets have really came in handy. I always hated the thought of keeping Baby D doped up on Tylenol (besides that he becomes constipated when he is on it). So this alternative has proven to be extremely beneficial. Whenever he becomes irritable and begins to gnaw on anything he can grab ahold of, I slip him 2 Teething Tablets and within minutes our problem is solved.

Twisty Bug
I *heart* this magnificent little toy. Baby D just laughs every time he sees me reach for it in the diaper bag. In fact, we just had our 6 month pictures taken last week and I brought this toy with us. Not only did it keep him giggling throughout the photo shoot, it also kept us very entertained.

Personalized Pacifier
Now I have wrote about these personalized pacifiers before, and I am here to boost on them again. They are just so stinking cute!

Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder 2 Pack
Have you began to see a reoccurring pattern with this post? The majority of my "Mommy Favorites" have to do with teething. And these mesh feeders are a wonderful example of great calming factor for teething. Baby D loves it when I put fruit (grapes, oranges, honey dew, muskmelon, ect..) in it and he can chomp away. It feels good on his gums and I feel good because he is eating a wonderful source of vitamins. I have also put an ice cube in the mesh feeder for a super cooling sensation.

I'm Just One Of The Boys.....

I am still awaiting a You-Tube Video for the lustrous Dancing of the Tomah Stars. So until then I have some video's of Baby D hang'n out with the farm boys. This video was taken after lunch one day, and lets just say Baby D was showing off to fellas his vocal skills.

Planting season is right around the corner!

Well at least we are hoping that planting season is right around the corner. As I sit here writing away, my thoughts keep drifting towards a bright sunny day, with lush green grass and the sounds of catfish jumping in and out of the pond. Alas, we are still patiently awaiting those times. Keeping those optimistic thoughts at bay, is crucial to ones sanity. Very soon the roars of tractors will be heard throughout the county, and the merry laughter of the farmers will be wide spread. Thus, I have composed a letter regarding the issues at hand.

Dear Mr. Winter Weather,

Your time here has been grand, with the gorgeous snowfalls that you have produced this year, but your time is know becoming short lived. Frankly you are not welcome here anymore! You need to loosen your grasp and casual invite the warm spring weather to loom. Lift up those cloudy sky's and embrace the beautiful rays of sunshine that are eager to expose themselves. You will be cherished next season, but until then, your time has come to say goodbye.

A Week Of Artic Temperatures....

Last week HH went up to my homeland to bast in harsh environment of cold and snow.

He was able to ride the rough terrine daily with his posses and enjoy every minute of it.

Then mingling with some buddies, with no fear of frost bite.

Even partaking in afew friendly wagers concerning speed acceleration.

Life in the tundra has no limits!

Simply hanging out, blissfully embracing machines with loud engines.

Alas, showing the real reason why they decided to head up North, this guy. You see, every year Lakewoods Resort on Namakagon, hosts a series of snowmobile races, polar bear plunges and the mighty Weenie Roast. Hence, they call thie event "The Worlds Longest Weenie Roast" (HH buys me a touristy shirt every year, he thinks it is quite comical, and I have to agree), appropriate I know. Pictured is the lucky mascot.

This is a gathering of all racers; comparing racing stories, gloating and having a intense conversion about "Who really does have the fastest snowmobile of 2010".

Notice the one posing into the camera was the lovely Janine in the back, I think the boys were alittle camera shy.

Happy Belated 6 Months Birthday Baby Boy....

Yesterday, Baby D turned *insert tiny tear* 6 months old! Can our baby really be a pre-toddler already? It's funny, I still enjoy reminiscing on his accomplishments thus far, and thoroughly embracing how fast he is ever changing (looking more and more like a mini-HH each day). So this post is especially for you Baby D, may you someday look back on this and reflect on our cherished times (or it could be great material for your shrink because mommy put a naked picture of you on-line).

Dear Baby D,

Listed below are all of your milestones that you have achieved in the last six months. May you continue to fully prosper at your own rate and continue to be such a pleasant young infant. We love you with all our hearts.

1. Rolling over is now quite common place
2. He looks forward to his daily food consumption and will devour any fruits/vegetables you provide to him
3. Although crawling forward would be nice, he prefers to wiggle backwards
4. Holding the bottle is done on a routine basis, but only to a certain extent
5. Two haircuts thus far is really very impressive
6. Performs regularly in his walker, moving in every direction and ripping down all of his mothers prized nick-knacks within his path
7. Extremely ticklish whenever his ribs are faintly touched (he really does not appreciate this, but causes us great humor)
8. Sleeps joyously throughout the night only waking up for one morsel at about 3:30
9. Continues to wear 18 months clothes proudly
10. Can sit up for a vast period of time before an initial plunge occurs

Baby boy you never cease to amaze us each and everyday! You are turning into a little toddler right before our very eyes. We are so grateful that you are in our lives and look forward to many more spontaneous years to come.

Lots of Love,
Farming Fabulously

North Bounded Down, Loading Up And Truckin'

We gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Now that I have that song replaying over and over in your subconscious, we can set the scene accordingly. HH is super excited to be heading north to enjoy one last snowmobiling excursion of the season. The truck is gassed up, all 8 gear bags are loaded, coolers are packed, and even a hidden picture of his beloved family is tucked away in the dashboard. All systems go my friends, for a notoriously power packed testosterone filled week of, bone chilling temperatures and loud engines. Can you feel the adrenaline rush begin to accelerate?

Program Note: For the keen eye, you will notice that the Big D is back in our lives.

Warning:Objects May Appear Closer Then They Really Are.

I was rummaging through some of my old pictures today and came across this gem! Baby D was so little back then, it just baffles me how fast children grow. Although he still absolutely adores playing in his exersaucer, he no longer needs to stuffed into it (hence the blue blanket that is secured tightly around him). He bounces back and forth in the excersaucer, like a ball in a Pin Ball Machine. Just watching him makes my ribs hurt, but he doesn't seem to mind one bit. Notice all of the accessories that are strategically placed around him. Everyone of those nick-knacks have gnawed on at one time or another with Baby D's Tyrannosaur like two teeth.

Our baby boy will be a mind blowing 6 months old next week. Is that possible? He has accomplished so much since September 3, 2009. His latest milestone I plan on videoing and posting shortly.

Have a lovely day,
Farming Fabulously

Look Who I Found At Our Local Watering Hole......

I have mentioned before, that Baby D loves lingering in the water. He enjoys splashing around with all of his toys. Although he has completely out grown his bath seat, he still relishes in teetering in it back and forth. Eventually becoming completely submerged in the warm H2O. Our waterlogged infant has made a past time scaring his parents by being so carefree in the bath water. Because of his watering ways I am certain that in his previous life, he was a sea bearing creature. Perhaps he was a Cuttlefish?

Round 2 Of Shots.....

Well, we just returned from the pediatrician for Baby D's second round of shots. The process went smoother this time around, as we were prepared for what was going to happen. I can not stress enough to all of the new mothers and fathers out there to be sure to give your child Tylenol before arriving to your appointment, this made a huge difference. Baby D handled the pain of the shots much better. Although, I believe that he subconsciously still remembered the nurse that inflicted pain on him the last time, because as soon as he seen her, he burst into tears. Poor baby!

Here are Baby D's statistics
Height 28"
Weight 21.8
Temperature 97.6
Head Circumference 18 (large noggin)

Verdict: Baby D has not gained too much weight since our last appointment, instead he has stretched out tremendous in height. And he still has a very large melon.

Farming Fabulously
