A Sneak Peak Into The Life In The Northwoods

Velkommen!

I meandered my way into town yesterday to explore the shopping district of the Northwoods. Little did I know, that all of the venues would be closed due to the holiday season. So instead of stimulating the northern economy, I decided to give you a minute glimpse into the world of the Norwegian/Swedish lifestyles that lives deep within the veins of each of the kinfolk. So grab your Warhammer and Horns; and lets begin this journey.

Here we have a sign displaying the Muskie Capital Brewery. You will soon begin to see a pattern start to develop....

Even the local golf course has a hint of fishing flair....

Let me present to you Hook Stone Winery....

Local shopping district, that closes during the holidays....

Or how about the Norkse Nook, for some lefse breakfast wraps, A? I love me some homemade lefse; My grandmother so happens to make it and sent us home with 7 packages. It's ok to be jealous...I would be, if someone had lefse and I didn't.

This is where the Lumberjack World Championships take place every summer. Remember that little tid bit of information, because you never know when your local radio station my ask the question "Where does the Lumberjack World Championship take place every year?" You could win a life time supply of Spicy Cheez-Its, if you call in and say "Hayward, Wisconsin; Sir".

In the Northwoods, they even have a display of enlarged sea creature replica's. Can you guess what kind of monstrous fish this is?

Loving my Norwegian Heritage,
Farming Fabulously
