I Have Developed My First Baby Complex!

Pregnancy Week 11:
Fore! The next time you swing
your golf club, know your baby
is about the size of a golf ball.

Yesterday the weather outside was absolutely gorgeous! So I couldn't help but develop a gitty urge to run some laps around the countryside, or so I thought. I blew off the spiderwebs/dust from my running attire, and I was ready to hit the pavement, or shall I say gravel? Anyhoo, I was pumped, my adrenalin was soring, the two doggies were jumping up and down with excitement, nothing was going to spoil my first run of the New Year!

I always start out slow and build my pace gradually as I go. Beginning with a rapid walk while stretching, then eventually ending with a constant jog, or as I prefer to refer to it as a full blown sprinting motion. Well, I was escalating my pace into a forward trot, when it happened. I began picturing my precious, sweet, innocent, delicate baby, (who is beginning to grow nails this week)bouncing around my belly like a pin ball. IT WAS A HORRIBLE IMAGE! So I immediately slammed on the brakes, and started gently caressing my tummy, vowing never to run again for the next 7 months. Now I consider myself to have a rather laid back attitude towards everything in life, never getting to excited about anything. So after this incident, I decided that the best possible outcome would be for me to go into the house and sleep it off (it was beginning to get dark anyway). Have any of you mothers/fathers ever experienced any bizarre thoughts like this?

Sincerely,
Farming Fabulously

Program Note: FF has now came to terms with this unfortunate incident, and has vowed to walk twice as far, at a increased elaborate stroll.
