Well, Holy Preakness ladies and gentleman! Last evening was one of firsts! It was a first for jokey Calvin Borel, who is now the only jokey to win the first two races of the triple crown on two different horses. It was also a first for a 3 year old filly to win the Preakness in the last 85 years. Let me put this is some prospective; A female has not won a four legged race around a track since my grandfather was born in 1924. Ladies we were long over due..
For those of you who missed this incredible spectacle, the enthusiasm felt within each spectator was extraordinarily evident. All eyes were on Rachel Alexandra from the beginning of the commentary that evening. She had this lusting presence about her, when at first glance even a non horse prodigy could recognize. This filly had grace and nostalgic glamour, equivalent to an overly athletic Princess Diana. Ms. Alexandra stole the stage, rising to the occasion, to become victoriously triumphant at the Preakness.
Sincerely Farming Fabulously
