A Baby Shower Farmstead Style....

Keeping with the farmstead motif, we decided upon using real earthy looking center pieces. As kooky as it may sound, weeds were our flower of choice and ripped up gunnysacks were placed under each floral arrangement. How fabulous right?

Not to brag, but we had a beautiful crowd of guests. You see it was unanimously agreed that each individual would wear their spiffiest outfit (usually reserved only for unfortunate funerals, but since we all were making a special trip into town we thought too make an exception in this instance), they all looked so Divine!

Notice all of the gorgeous shades of baby blue wrapping paper. Our little whippersnapper will now have numerous essentials that will allow him to grow into a fine young toddler.

I was ecstatic to see that he will have an Excersaucer to keep him entertained. This will free up some time for mommy to experiment with new cooking techniques or maybe even laundry. Maybe.

Notice my little helper. I don't think that she was really digg'n all of boy clothes. After all she prefers anything with glitz, frizzles, or sparkles; So trucks, tractors, and snowplow figures on clothes just was not doing it for her. But I was loving every minute of it!

Then we came across this stroller/car seat combo. Who ever invented this contraption should be given a holiday in their honor! How handy will this be when we decide to take little man to the zoo, or shopping, or Mt. Everest, or The Empire State Building, or even strolling to a relaxing Gondola ride.

At this baby shower, the ladies decided that miniature Farm Boys will need a hefty amount of diapers in order for baby to stay fresh and clean on a minute-by-minute basis. So our theme was a "Pampers Party". What this consists of is basically, if you bring a package of diapers, we will give you the opportunity to win door prizes. How fun!

I am holding a decorative composition of ranch style embellishment! I *heart* all antique, timeless, primitive pieces of "art". So this fragment of old barn wood was right up my alley. This will be an absolutely magnificent piece to hang in our tiny tykes room. Can you see the enthusiasm that is spread across my face?

I have saved one of the most memorable for last! HH's Grandma "Jones" (as we shall call her), is a wonderful seamstress/quilt master extraordinaire. She is a extremely talented woman. So we were absolutely thrilled to see that baby boy has been blessed with one of Grandma "Jones" quilts, he will cherish it always.

Sincerely,
Farming Fabulously

Program Note: A huge thank for everyone for coming to the shower and for all of the fabulous gifts that our little boy received. An extra special thank you too my two wonderful BFF's for putting this whole shin-dig together from over 800 miles away and to SMS for all of the last minute "Opps we forgot this and thats". We will cherish that day always!
